Michael claims that he read a book titled "Manual of Monsters", in which all races are labelled with a simple "good" or "evil", most of the monsters being evil. He states that this is the reason he has chosen to destroy them all through H.A.M. However he also mentions that monsters have treasure and killing them would allow him to take this wealth which may act as a secondary motivation. Michael was killed in the Assault on Sigmund's Base, whether by goblin soldiers or in the ensuing cave-in.
