bsnes is a new emulator for the Super Famicom and SNES video game systems. The project was started by byuu in 2004 and it was ported to Mac OS X by Richard Bannister in 2005. bsnes is different from other SNES emulators, such as ZNES and Snes9x, since it focuses mainly on accuracy, providing cycle-exact emulation. This is difficult to achieve even on modern computers, so bsnes is slower than other emulators, and its system requirements are quite high.
