Wealth tax has different meanings in different countries. Sometimes, taxes like Property tax, Capital gains tax, Gift tax and similar types of taxes are collectively called Wealth tax. In some countries, a person's net worth is derived by deducting liabilities from the assets, and a tax is levied on the net worth of that person by way of a percentage of the net worth. This is also called Wealth tax.
