The base consists of a series of facilities ranging in scientific labs, dorm and living quarters and storage warehouses. Scientific labs include labs for experimenting with minerals and rock sample found, ice research facilities and greenhouses to test habitability on Mars for plant and animal life. Dorm and living quarters include sleeping dorms, showering and rest room facilities, cafeterias and kitchens, recreation and lounging rooms and oxygen and water cycling centers for providing fresh air and water for use. Water treatment facilities gather water from ice caps north of the base. Supply warehouses store food, supplies, equipment and vehicle garages and maintenance garages for repairing exploration vehicles. A landing strip is available for landing shuttles and aerial drones.
