The Captain-class robot pilot was the primary pilot droid of the Ingza during the N'Akkiarlian-Ingzan War. They piloted all types of vehicle, from tanks to fighters to bombers to troop transports etc., they were the robotic equivalents of organic pilots. Some organic pilots didn't like their robotic counterparts as they feared they would replace them since robots could pilot and repair vehicles for more efficiently and accurately than organic pilots could. Pilot droids also manned war ships of all sizes like frigates, destroyers to battleships and carriers, when crewed on war ships pilot droids were usually found manning controls on the bridge but also acted as gunners and in other roles like maintenance.
