In the series pilot, Peter Parker hasn't been long at his career as Spider-Man, the masked web-slining hero of New York. Two students transfer to his college; Bobby Drake and Angelica Jones. It soon becomes apparent that Bobby and Angelica are in fact mutants; superpowered individuals who hide amongst society. Spider-Man convinces them to work with him as superheroes. Bobby becomes Iceman and Angelica Firestar. They work together as tri-force for criminals to reckon with; the first of these being the evil Green Goblin, who is in fact Norman Osborn, the head of Oscorp and father of Harry Osborn, a classmate of the gang and Peter's close friend.
