The Dell Comics themselves are split between two series: Alvin and Clyde Crashcup. The first of these series, released between 1962 and 1973, contains twenty-eight comics (20-28 are partial re-releases of 1-9) and two specials (one partially re-released) while the second, released between 1962 and 1964, contains five comics. The franchise premiere comic is from an unknown Dell series. Harvey Classics' Alvin and the Chipmunks series, released between 1992 and 1994, contains five comics.
