Science Outpost D5 was a Federation installation near the Romulan Neutral Zone, which was obliterated by unknown forces in late 2364. The outpost was initially investigated by the USS Enterprise, and then, in early 2366, by the USS Yosemite. This later investigation determined that the outpost had been attacked by the Borg.
