The Prm-3 pulse laser cannon was a Laser cannon built by BlasTech, a company which normally produced personal blaster weapons. While designing the Prm-3, BlasTech cut corners to make it more affordable. This resulted in a substandard weapon with a limited maximum of 3.1 GP. This relatively low damage capability hindered the ships it was installed in, such as the standard model of the Starfeld Z-10 Seeker. Another disadvantage was that the Prm-3 did not have its own targeting system. It was forced to rely on whatever sensor package installed on the ship.
