Norm McCarthy ( -July 26, 1992) is a former NASCAR driver from Bedford, OH. He competed in three Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. All of those events came in 1951, when McCarthy debuted at Bainbridge. Starting positions in the event, as with all of McCarthy's events, are unknown due to poor records. But in the race, McCarthy drove a solid car to a stunning 8th place effort. Unfortunately he was unable to run that well in his other two starts, finishing 32nd at Pittsburgh and 30th at Toledo.
