The Nagare family (流れ一族, Nagare ichizoku) are a lower noble house who reside in the Soul Society and have been prominent since the earliest days of the Soul Society. A drear past has followed the Nagare since their days as a small fishing village who bordered the Karigane River, but they have remained resilient in maintaining their pride throughout the years. Many strong Shinigami have been born from the Nagare family, and through marriage, many connections have been made with other lower noble houses. They have married into both the Ukitake family through one of their daughters as well as the Kira family.
