Prison Currency was form currency that resembled the standard Bolt currency used throughout the Universe. Unlike bolts however, it was entirely valueless to the vast majority of institutions of the universe and was only accepted amongst the prisoners of the Prison Planet. One prisoner of the Prison Planet, Slim Cognito, had figured out a way to convert the Prison Currency into cold hard bolts using a device known as the Slim Cognito's Bolt Extractor. Ratchet would later obtain this device from Cognito for saving his life, which he used to convert Prison Currency into bolts that could be given to Clank for use in purchasing Agency equipment.
