The Guidebook to the Land of the Green Isles is a travel guide to the Green Isles written by Derek Karlavaegen, many years before the events of "Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow". Although Derek had originally only made two copies (taking one with him and leaving the other with 'the Crown' of the Land of the Green Isles), other presumably unauthorized copies appear to exist. There are two main versions of the King's Quest VI Manual, the tall version packed with the floppy version, and the square version published with the CD-Rom version.
