The original version of V, which ran from 1983 to 1985, consists of two miniseries (V: The Original Miniseries and V: The Final Battle) and a short-lived television series (V: The Series) which aired on NBC. The series was re-imagined in a new continuity in V, a 2009 series airing on ABC.
