Chicken Joe is best friends with Cody Maverick, a competitor in the tenth annual Big Z Memorial Surf Off and the secondary tritagonist of Surf's Up. Joe is a smooth talking rooster who acts like somewhat of a stoner. He is voiced by Jon Heder who also played Napoleon Dynamite.
