Palaiologos (romanized as Palaeologus), was the name of a Byzantine Greek family which rose to nobility and became the last ruling dynasty of the Roman Empire in the muggle world. It became extinct in the male line, and its titles and claims passed down to Emperor Constantine XI descendants in the House of Anemas.
