Mr. Boothby was the groundskeeper at Starfleet Academy for several decades during the 24th century. Boothby saw many promising cadets go through the academy and was more then willing to offer advice and kind words to those who would listen. Cadets he helped included Kathryn Janeway and Jean-Luc Picard. (VOY: "In the Flesh"; TNG: "The First Duty")
