The Super-D Battle Droid, which the D stood for "Delphiki," and was commonly shortened to "Super-D Droid," was produced by Prophit Delphiki. They were based on Plasma Current Chip technology, which had been improved by Delphiki's corporations in the years preceding the Second Clone War. This was the successor of the Delphiki Battle Droid, sold in vast numbers to the Hutts for preparation for the upcoming Second Clone War.
