Robotech: Unsung Heroes is a three-part backup story in Robotech: Vermilion issues 2, 3, and 4. It also saw a color re-printing in the back of the the trade paperback of Robotech: Megastorm. It follows a team of resistance fighters during the Third Robotech War. The team conducts a briefing the day before an attack on the Invid. The team manage to take out several of the alien mecha before reinforcements arrive. The reinforcements take out their Alpha and slowly eliminate the team. The last one detonates a large bomb to take out the rest of the Invid.
