Iriseyes was a member of the centaur herd led by Chief Graystreak. Before a brutal bandit attack, that included the killing of 23 villagers and the razing of many buildings, her herd did business with the village Haresfield, which was located in the Royal Forest of Tortall. Iriseyes was one of the five centaurs that were sent by Graystreak to help the Haresfield villagers, the Third Company of the King's Own, and a group of the Queen's Riders catch the bandits that raided the village. She was the leader of the five and was grimly happy about her assignment.
