Leland Sewell is a former NASCAR driver from Memphis, TN. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career. His first race came in 1954, when Sewell raced at LeHi. Starting positions in the field of fifty-two are unknown, but a midrace crash would leave Sewell 35th at day's end. Sewell was luckily able to improve in his other race, competing at LeHi again in 1955. Starting 27th in the field, Sewell fell quite a few laps down in the race but still drove to a career-best 15th.
