Lieutenant Colonel Renton Patrick Zala (born October 14th, 2524) was a decorated Human officer of the UNSC Marine Corps during the Human-Covenant War. He is usually referred to as Renny by his closest friends and Zala by his commanding officers. Renton was originally a Marine fighting on various fronts but his career would take a turn when he became a Mobile Suit Operator and then the commanding officer of the Wolf Pack later in the war, leading several high profile yet successful missions as the war raged on. Renton Zala gained wide renowned and several decorations for his actions taken against the Covenant during the Battle of Tumont in the Fall of 2549, where he led a successful offensive against the Covenant occupation forces.
