Anti-Phazon Units are similar to Energy Capsules and only appear on Phaaze. In the NTSC version of the game, Anti-Phazon Units reduce the amount of Samus Aran's Phazon corruption by 25 units. In the PAL version of the game, Small Anti-Phazon Units reduce it by 25 units, and Large Anti-Phazon Units reduce it by 50 units. Absorbing Anti-Phazon Units is the only way other than using the Hyper Grapple to purge Samus' Phazon level. These units are always blue, unlike the normal energy capsules. They resemble the image of Phaaze displayed by Aurora Unit 242 before travelling to the planet.
