Pembery (pronounced pehm-BARE-ee) is a Kyprish woman who served the Balitang family in the 5th century HE. She was a part-blood raka. She was placed in a variety of posts throughout her time with the Balitangs. She accompanied them to Tanair on Lombyn Island for their exile from Rajmuat. She was temporarily placed in charge of the younger Balitang children, Lady Petranne and Lord Elsren. Her mistress Duchess Winnamine noted that she did not enjoy the post so she promoted Pembery to lady's maid for herself and her eldest stepdaughter, Lady Saraiyu. Pembery was one of Prince Bronau's many lovers.
