The Danbury Incident touched off the North-Eastern War, a front of the Great North American War. It occurred in the city of Danbury, Connecticut, part of the Kingdom of New England. What followed is disputed. New England claims that units of the New York army attacked outside of the city, but were fought off. New York claims the whole thing as a falsehood to provoke war.
