Origins and Examples of the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition was a book proposed by Krax, son of Zek, which would have related stories illustrating the Ferengi Rules of Acquisition. Krax was apparently dissuaded from doing so by an anonymous letter calling such a project "morally repugnant". This letter was in fact written by Quark, then working on a similar literary project. (DS9 reference: Legends of the Ferengi)
