Poppy(VYF022) was born on November 1, 1997 in the Young Ones. Her mother was Morgause and her father was Keros the dominant pair of the Young Ones. Her litter-mates were one brother named Pippin(VYM019) and two sisters VYF020 and VYF021. All four pups survived to adulthood, however VYF020 was evicted and formed the Umbongo Mob with other Young Ones females. Poppy's other sister VYF021 died some time later, while Poppy's brother Pippin stayed in the group for three years till 2000 to join the Frisky. Poppy stayed in the Young Ones the longest and soon became one of the oldest females in the group.
