The Krana Xa-Kal was the most important Krana-Kal. Once it came into contact with the Bahrag, they would awaken. If the Nuva Symbols were put in the Nuva Cube after it touched them, the Bahrag would be free. Xa-Kal were created by immersing a Krana Xa in the substance that created the Bohrok-Kal. They could act independently, communicate telepatically, and create a shield that protected their host when about to awaken the Bahrag.
