Fort Cushion was a fort in the Franklin Province defended by the southrons when the Province seceded along with others to form King Geoffrey's realm. The garrison was made up of quite a few of Blonds. During the notorious attack of the Fort, the forces under Ned of the Forest comitted a major massacre of the blonds, who some say, had already surrendered. Ned became famous throughout Detina for this crime and gained a demon-like status in the blond community.
