Miles Mark Naismith was the husband of Elizabeth Naismith and the father of Cordelia Naismith and her brother. He was in the Betan Astronomical Survey, and died in a shuttle accident. His grandchildren Miles Naismith Vorkosigan and Mark Pierre Vorkosigan were named after him posthumously.
