The Runciman System was a star system in the space of the Republic of Haven that was captured by the Manticoran Alliance during the First Havenite-Manticoran War. It was one of the systems that expressed a desire to not return to Havenite control after the war had ended. President Eloise Pritchart recognized that she would be forced to accept their status as an independent star nation. (HH10)
