The club was founded in September 1934 and is part of the sports club of the same name. A second team was created in 1947. Toward the end of the 1980s, Kusnacht began cooperating with the GCK Lions, and eventually merged with them in 2000. As a result of the merger, the club's old second unit became the first team. Throughout their history, the club has always played in the lower-level Swiss leagues. They competed frequently in the National League B during the 1960s and 1970s and won the Swiss 1. Liga championship in the 1962-63 season.
