Captain Alfred Charles Seton Christopher (20 March 1856-12 October 1934) was an army officer and local politician. Born in Richmond as Alfred Charles Christopher in the Surrey suburbs of London, he was the third son of Canon Alfred Christopher. In 1875 he entered the University of Oxford but left after a year to enter the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Christopher served in the Seaforth Highlanders, and won the Afghan War Medal in 1880. He was aide-de-campe to the Governors of Bombay in 1881-82 and to the Governor of Ceylon in 1886-89. In 1897 he retired from the army. An image here [1]
