The information cataloging droid was a model of librarian droid produced by Kalibac Industries for the Mid Rim Lending Network. These librarian units were fitted with repulsorlifts, allowing them to reach the highest shelves of data archives. They used dangling manipulator arms to retrieve information cylinders. The Techno Union used the information cataloging droid's internal intelligence matrices in their DLC-13 mining droids designed for use on Mustafar. The heat-resistant, shielded body shell of the panning droid was modeled on that of the librarian droid.
