The Vulcan fighter was a type of small 22nd century Vulcan starship utilized for the orbital defense of Vulcan, and other military applications. They were armed with a type of particle beam weapon. Two of these vessels engaged a shuttlepod launched from Enterprise NX-01, as it attempted an unauthorized landing on Vulcan in 2154.
