Lieutenant Tao appears in a Sesame Street spoof of the hit-show, The Closer. While closing cases around the office, the chief finds an open eyeglass case on Tao's desk and questions him about it. He pleads he needed his glasses to see and the case is promptly closed. He is a caricature of Michael Paul Chan's character Michael Tao from The Closer.
