Trans-Dimensional Snatching occurs when an authorial influence or Mary Sue abducts a canon character from his or her universe and brings that character to the "real" world. This is often the most painful sort of Suefic, as the canon character normally loses all sense of self and is dragged around wherever the Mary Sue wants him or her to go. Often, the canon character will appear as if he or she is undergoing hypnosis. The best cure for Trans-Dimensional Snatching is to move the canon character back to the proper universe; this generally the job of Despatch. Trans-Dimensional Snatching should not be confused with Trans-Dimensional Hopping.
