Although knowing that Steve McDonald was the father, she told Roy Cropper that the baby was his and said that she would halt the procedure if Roy and Hayley paid her £20,000 with £5,000 by 3.00pm in two days time. That coincided with the clinic appointment and as 3.00pm came, the nurse told Tracy to come through but she asked for more time. After a few minutes pacing, Tracy was about to leave, the Croppers appeared with enough of the demanded sum in cash to cause Tracy to cancel the abortion.
