The 2007 Pennsylvania 500 was a Nextel Cup (now Sprint Cup) event held at Pocono Raceway on August 5, 2007. Kurt Busch claimed his first win of the year in absolutely commanding fashion, leading 175 of the 200 laps and holding off Dale Earnhardt, Jr. by 4.1 seconds. Busch also edged seven points ahead of Earnhardt for the 12th position in the Race to the Chase while points leader Jeff Gordon continued to roll on with a 4th place finish.
