This battle took place in orbit and on the ground of Kashyyyk, where the rebel alliance attempted to take control of the planet so as to free the wookies, who would provide some much-needed muscle in the alliance military. Both the attacking rebel fleet and the garrisoned imperial fleet consisted of capital ships and starfighters from the clone wars and the 2 fleets were about evenly matched.
