YU Shao-ze was born in 1903 in Chengdu, Sichuan province and passed away in 1988. He was a transmitter of the Shu School His first name was Run. In 1918, he learned the Qin together with his brother YU Min from his uncle LIAO Wen-fu who was the second inherited successor of the Qin master ZHANG Kong-shan of the Sichuan School.
