The Deep Forest has its own group of Clans, who consider themselves seperate from the Open Forest Clans. There is a slight animosity between them and the Open Forest Clans after the incident with the Demon Bear in Wolf Brother, but they are generally much angrier with each other during Oath Breaker (although this may just be a product of Thiazzi's meddling, and not recurrent through the rest of the story).
