A diagnoster was a type of medical technology that allowed the user to scan an object. During the Clone Wars, Black Sun assassin Kaird used a diagnoster aboard his ship to scan a case purportedly filled with bota. He discovered that it was housing a bomb instead and managed to get rid of it before it exploded.
