Stroke of Genius is the first episode of House M.D. - Critical Cases. Sam Krause, a 20 year old college student, is admitted after he suffers a stroke and collapses while talking to his girlfriend. An environmental scan of his dorm finds a pill bottle that contains Adderall. After spending $10 of the budget, epilepsy is ruled out as the diagnosis and the patient is treated for an ischemic stroke for $3 of the budget. After treatment, Sam goes Code Blue and has to be defibrillated.
