Mystics who live atop the Ziggurat of Venturam, a high mountain, they interfere in the lives of mortals in accordance with their grand designs, using the power of chaotic chance. At one time they found that a child, Garth Ranzz (later Lightning Lad), would be the ideal sacrifice during a forthcoming 'convergence of stars' that would lead the universe into "blissful chaos". Three times they tried to kill Garth, but always failed. The convergence of stars will not now recur during Lightning Lad's lifetime, and the Luck Lords have retired to contemplation.
