The Eurovision Song Contest 1970 was the 15th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest since the induction in 1956 and was held in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. In 1970, Ireland scored their first win with Dana Scallon, singing All Kinds of Everything, long before their record of winning three times in a row in the 1990s. The United Kingdom, unsurprisingly, came 2nd place. Luxembourg had nul points for the first and only time.
