The Theed Genocide was a massive military operation carried out by the Galactic Empire against the planet of Naboo. Senator Padme Skywalker was suspected of harboring Jedi fugitives, a rumor that turned out to be true. The operation had several objectives, among them to destroy the restless Nubian government, drive the absolutely annoying Gungans to extinction, and sieze valuable minerals the miners on the Nubian moons were sending to the Galactic Republic's government-in-exile. Darth Starkiller personally led the operation.
