Handy's power drill was an invention Handy Smurf created in the comic book story "The Handy Smurf" and the cartoon show episode "No Smurf Is An Island". In both stories, the power drill is powered by bees hovering around inside the drill casing. The power drill caused problems when Handy drilled holes into a lot of things, though in the comic book story he did that out of the desire to show off what his new invention can do, while in the cartoon episode the power drill was just too powerful for Handy to control. The Smurfs in the comic book story became so upset with Handy that they converted his power drill into a Handy Smurf butt-kicking machine.
