Soon after speaking to Vant, the dragon would appear. A stray blast of dragonfire set the squire on fire, killing him instantly. He wielded a bronze platebody, bronze sword and a bronze sq shield. However, before he was killed the shield changed to a steel sq shield instead of a Bronze one. The bronze equipment was temporarily obtained by the player after the squire was incinerated.
