Explorer Joe was a world traveller, adventurer and treasure hunter, who worked for hire. He was usually accompanied by his old friend, Gadabout Swanson. Joe had a wide array of skills, wore whatever kind of clothing was appropriate for the environment he was going into (usually a khaki shirt and pants), and he usually carried a handgun.
